Don't overlook your brake fluid when changing pads or rotors. Fluid should be changed at least once a year in performance street use to prevent corrosion in your brake system, improve brake response and eliminate brake fade caused by fluid vapor lock. Vapor lock occurs when old fluid containing moisture heats up under heavy braking and turns to steam inside the system. EBC BF307 is an extremely pure brake fluid compatible with all systems using DOT 3 or DOT 4 glycol fluid.
Two bottles (16oz each) are normally required to flush and replace old fluid.
EBC brake fluid has a very high boiling temperature of 586F/307C and it is used on the #22 SCCA Steeda Focus.
